About Us

Harlee's Angels
Harlee's Angels is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected dogs in the United States. Harlee's Angels change the lives of homeless dogs through its foster home program. Harlee's Angles focuses on dogs with special needs, seniors, and those others who think aren't worthy of help.
Harlee's Angels provide:
Rescue dogs in county animal shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. Each dog is placed in foster care and receives veterinary care and sterilization.
Foster care for dogs surrendered by their owners who either can no longer provide for the pets or no longer wish to have them in their homes.
Adoption of rescued dogs to qualified homes that are appropriately screened and counseled by our adoption coordinators and foster parents to maintain the pet in the house for a lifetime.
Training of leadership team members and volunteers in the areas of humane education, animal welfare, animal behavior, care, and disaster response.
Education to the public in the form of counseling, pet behavior consultation, and training,
Temporary assistance in whatever manner is needed when possible to help families keep their pets.

Harlee's Angels Vision
Harlee's Angels is recognized as a significant resource for the welfare of homeless, abandoned, and abused companion animals in the United States.
Our goal is to lower euthanasia rates at county animal controls by:
Bringing unwanted dogs into our program for medical, social rehabilitation, and re-homing.
They are providing resources to pet owners to encourage their responsibility and commitment to their pets and prevent them from contributing to the homeless pet population (i.e., spay/neuter awareness, microchipping, etc.).
We want to be a valuable resource for our community. We believe that one person can make a difference in the life of an animal in need, so as an organization, we have more strength to help more animals.
Our Mission:
To help those others overlook, the sick, the seniors; those on death row; those tossed out onto the streets. And when possible, we offer assistance to families facing financial difficulties in providing medical care and food for their pets.
Every fur kid we rescue touches your heart and soul forever. Some will be the reason you keep on fighting and saving when you think you can no longer pull your heart out again. These are the ones who come in barely alive, forgotten because they are not beautiful enough for others to save, dumped on the road or park because they're old and sick, and lived their entire life in a crate or kennel to support their lazy owner by pumping out puppies over and over, I could go on. We believe they're all beautiful with a deeply loving soul. We don't care if they're "damaged" or if we must eat peanut butter sandwiches to give them the medical attention they need. We love to glisten with fur, which has become a part of our wardrobe. We listen to our family and friends complain when we're late, miss, or have to leave early to save a baby. We cry daily over the ones we've loved and watch live their days out being loved while battling cancer, parvo, pneumonia, or other terminal illness. We mourn when they pass, then gather the strength to fight even harder in their memory. We are not superheroes; we're rescuers. We live this 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We hear over and over I could never do what you do; it would break my heart. Then if you can't open your home, or car to transport, help by donating. Donating lets you play an essential role in the rescue. Without donations, we cannot run the rescue.

"We shed many tears every day that we cannot bring all those in need into our homes, but it just isn't physically possible." - Lee Stevens, Founder/President of Harlee's Angels
