Harlee's Angels - a non-profit 501(c)3 rescue
Our Mission:
To help those others overlook; the sick, the seniors; those on death row; those tossed out onto the streets.  And when possible we offer assistance to families facing financial difficulties in providing medical care and food for their pets.

Every fur kid we rescue touches your heart and soul forever. There are some that will be the reason you keep on fighting and rescuing when you think you can no longer pull your heart out again. These are the ones who come in barely alive, forgotten because they are not beautiful enough for others to save, dumped on the road or park because their old and sick, lived their entire life in a crate or kennel to support their lazy owner by pumping out puppies over and over, I could go on. We believe their all beautiful with a deep loving soul. We don't care if their "damaged" or if we must eat peanut butter sandwiches in order to give them the medical attention they need. We love to glisten with fur which has become a part of our wardrobe. We listen to our family and friends complain when we're late, miss or have to leave early to save a baby. We cry daily over the ones we've loved and watch live their days out being loved while battling cancer, parvo, pneumonia or other terminal illness. We mourn when they pass, then gather the strength to fight even harder in their memory. We are not super heroes, we're rescuers. We live this 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. We hear over and over I could never do what you do, it would break my heart. Then if you can't open your home, car to transport, then help by donating. Donating let's you play an important role in rescue. Without donations we cannot run the rescue.
There are many little one in the rescue that simply cannot be adopted. They are called sanctuary or hospice angels. They are not healthy, hence why they cannot be adopted. They must have monthly medication and some vet visits. They depend on us to take care of them until it’s their time to cross the rainbow bridge. They are loved, pampered and spoil by their foster family until they are no longer with us. Even when that time comes, they still depend on us to help, if needed, cross the bridge, bury or cremate their little bodies. This cost is expensive as well, yet they deserve the expense, they were our special little angels whose paw will ever be printed on our hearts.  As mentioned earlier we have several little angels. In fact, too many to list. Here are the most recent ones we’ve received terrible news from the vet that were added to the “angel” list.

MINNIE:A little senior pug found thrown away in bad condition in the hot summer southern heat.Minnie had a skin infection, bladder infections, nails extremely long and scared. At a vets appointment in July, we hoped to hear her bladder infection was better. We learned it will never be better. In fact, Minnie will never be better. We learned Minnie has bladder cancer and there's nothing they can do because of the size, her age and health. Minnie isn't in pain, she's going to live her now beautiful life with her foster family being loved and spoiled until she no longer can. Minnie is one of those that makes your heart burn with fire to help more yet cries with sorrow.

DORY:An adult toy poodle dumped in a hot hopeless shelter by her owners. We all know owner surrender dogs are the first to be killed. Especially one that no one is interested in and unhealthy. Many rescue groups passed Dory over. Why? She’s not healthy would need medical which would cost more than an adoption fee. Not us. We saw her sweet little self and knew we had to help her. We knew she was sick. After vet visits and testing, we were giving the new Dory has Cushing Disease. Cushing Disease is very expensive that required monthly medication, many vet visits throughout the year. Dory doesn’t know she’s sick. She lives each day to play with a simple ball. It’s her obsession. She loved her foster family, they love her as well. They know the struggle she has ahead of her. They know the cost is outrageous, yet worth every dime. She is spoiled, happy and very loved.

Harlee’s Angels Southern California Handi-Capable Ranch:I believe the title of this division of the rescue says a lot. They have dogs that are forever in their care, sanctuary-hospice stats. This is where our greatest vet medical expense comes. The all have a story. Many were from shelter. In fact almost all we’re pulled from death row. They each are loved, cared for and spoiled. Without the sanctuary ranch, they would have been killed.

Our rescue does not make a profit. In fact we are a registered 501c(3). This means any donation amount given to Harlee’s Angels is a tax deduction. That a win-win situation. A win for you and a win for the rescue kids. Please share this link with all your family, friends, animal groups and whoever you can think off that would help. We need YOUR help to SAVE animals.
